General
This digitalSTROM app defines actions that can be easily executed via other server apps or a smartphone app. These actions can be composed of only one activity or several different activities.
Examples:
- Switch off the light on the 1st floor of your house.
- Open all shutters with only one click.
- Load 'Breakfast' on your smartphone app to start other predefined actions such as opening the shutters, switching on gentle light and heat up the coffeemaker via the adapter with only one click.
Overview of all user-defined actions
User-defined actions can be created and edited as desired.
The list view provides you with your saved settings (Name, Initiated Activities and information on editing and executing) at one glance. If an activity should be put on hold for a certain period of time, it can be deactivated. If an action is deleted, it can no longer be executed by other apps.
The function 'Test Action' executes initiated activities immediately to test the settings.
Setting up and editing actions
First enter a name for your action.
Every user-defined action can contain several initiated activities.
These activities offer the following possibilities:
- Activity in Room: Call a preset in a room or switch off the light. 'All Off' means that also locally controlled (e.g. via cord dimmer) devices will be switched off. 'Off' will not switch off locally controlled devices due to the local priority.
- Single Device: Switch a single device on or off by loading a preset.
- Call URL: By executing a URL another LAN-connected device can be controlled. This can trigger e.g. a certain webcam to send an image to a predefined e-mail address.
- Call activities within the whole house related to access (e.g. Leaving home or Door bell), weather (e.g. rain or wind) or security (e.g. panic or alarms).
Select the desired activity and, if applicable, the desired room, the color group and the preset. Switch to the list of all activities by double clicking the selection in the last column or with a click on 'Show all Activities'. 'New Activity' opens an empty entry form; you may change the selected activity by double clicking or using 'Edit Activity'. By using the arrows to left and right you can simply switch between already defined activities or delete a single activity by using the trash icon.
The settings will be saved and activated by 'Save'.
Tips:
- If you load a preset on a single device, the overall state of the room will not change. E.g. you switch on a lamp and the next click to the push button in the room loads preset 1, although a lamp is switched on already. This action does not switch off the lamp.
- If shutters, blinds or awnings are moved automatically, it is the user's responsibility to prevent the opening or closing from causing any damage.
